Bilateral stress fracture of femoral neck: An atypical presentation

A stress fracture is an overuse injury which can occur when muscles become fatigued and are unable to absorb added load to them. Eventually, the fatigued muscle transfers the overload of stress to the bone causing a tiny crack called a stress fracture. It is commonly seen in athletes and military recruits undergoing rigorous training. An incidence of stress fracture in persons with sedentary lifestyle is extremely rare. Through this case report atypical presentation of bilateral stress fracture of femoral neck in a morbidly obese patient is being highlighted.
