Balanced regional development is most essential in any country. There are vast areas of
a country which have not developed well. Achieving a balanced regional development is
the need of the hour. Planned intervention is required to ensure that large scale
imbalances do not occur. The development of certain pockets of a region will diffuse the
development process in its surrounding areas. Identifying these pockets in rural areas is
most essential today because they will trigger the development process in its hinterland.
The present study is based on Primary and secondary data. Primary data has been
collected by using questionnaires by the scholar, while secondary data is obtained from
different departments. Random Sampling, Scalogram, Correlation Coefficient, Space
Preference method and Nearest Neighbour Techniques are used for analysis
