Perception of nursing interns on the humanized care of the teacher

Objective: to determine the relationship between the university training and the perception of the human care of the hospitalized nurse in internal nursing patients. Materials and methods: the investigation was cross-sectional descriptive-correlational. The population and the sample consisted of 100 undergraduate nursing students who made the hospital internship of the universities (Catholic and non-Catholic). The main variable was the perception of the humanized care of the nursing, it was counted on the training university and other sociodemographic variables. For the inferential analysis the U Mann-Whitney and Kruskal Wallis tests were used by means of contingency tables with a significance less than or equal to 0.05. Results: the training university was significantly associated with the perception of humanized teaching care. The highest average obtained the university of Catholic education (means = 110) compared to the non-Catholic one (mean = 99.3). In the same way, the high values ??of Perception averages correspond to the male sex (mean = 114) and to be single (mean = 104.7). Conclusions: the inmates of the Catholic University perceive in a more favorable way the humanized care of their teachers. Also, males and singles perceive the same. The results of this research imply that the houses of studies are based on their practices in the teaching of humanized care in theory as in practice, especially in the examinations of the nursing career, which is a vocation of caring service for this profession.
