The current vision of health tends more and more to consider the needs of the person not only physically or mentally, but also the various psychosocial aspects and the environment in which he lives (1). This is not merely a consequence of a theoretical approach, but of the experience that increasingly demands a broad conception of health care. As our understanding of health and mental illness continues to evolve, new proposals become indispensable in the mental health service delivery system (1, 2).
