The work is devoted to consideration of possibilities of application of NewSQL of system of management
of databases Google Cloud Spanner. Defined achievements and disadvantages of the system. Particular
attention is paid to the study of union operations using Interleaved tables and indexes. Several load tests
have been performed using a cluster with 5 spanner nodes in the europe-west1 region.
