Traffic congestion is a frequent occurrence in Malang city, particularly happens in some crowded centres and educational areas such as Bandung Street and Veteran Street. Congestion interferes the community’s activities and causes both social and economical impacts. The traffic congestion could be avoided by
alternatively diverting the flow of crowded route to the other uncrowded route. Therefore, the need of an effective algorithm to measure the capacity of vehicle in one particular road must be fulfilled. The writing of this article purposes to analyze and explain how to apply the topological sort algorithm in order to redistribute vehicles from the origins to the destinations. The redistribution is expected to accommodate the accordant amount of vehicle to the capacity. After the theoretical analysis, opological sort algorithm can be applied to solve the problem of congestion in those street.
