Man who assaults woman, woman who assaults man, woman who assaults woman, man who assaults man - each of these pairs can nurture between bonds of affection and aggression. Each of them may be more valuable than Justice, for example, some kind of protection, based on Law No. 11,340 / 2006, which was coined with a woman's name - Maria da Penha Law. Thus, this article deals with a question of the possibility of innovating the application of Law No. 11.340 / 2006 and / or its possibility of decharacterization, by reason of its application, to protect other social applications, such as men and male homosexuals. Based on the analysis of legal doctrines and jurisprudence (judges' decisions), they are analyzed as interpretations that are given to the issue of gender and sexual diversity.
