This article aims to contribute to the understanding of the role of Social Work in Education, as well as to present the social worker as a purposeful professional, so that the guarantee of permanence in school is not limited to financial support, but includes the multiple and varied student's needs. This text develops a reflection on the profession and its insertion in the educational field; presents the Educar Para Ficar Project, which serves students with learning difficulties, highlighting the role of Social Work in the interdisciplinary team and the importance of this team; addresses Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD); It also brings the result of a research conducted with teachers that addresses the issue of learning disabilities.
