This writing is the presentation of the Dossier ?Gender studies, etnographic approach and public policies: productive crossings and challenges for an integrated research agenda?. It describes how this reunion of articles was thought and proposed in order to highlight the cross between the productivity of the ethnographic approach, the agendas of gender studies and the agendas of public policies in Argentina. The text opens with the question, which also drive the convening of this space for reflection, What can and how has ethnography contributed to gender studies and public policies?
