This article aims to reflect on the contributions of the anthropological approach in comprehending the gender conceptions and relations connected to the design and carry out of social programs for vulnerable population, based on the analysis of field research. Specifically, studies of two programs are considered: Plan Jefes y Jefas de Hogar Desocupados, program of conditioned money transfer implemented by the national government, and Plan Vida/Más Vida, food program implemented by the government of Buenos Aires Province.
