In the mid-1990s, meetings of missing sons and daughters began to be organized in various regions of Argentina. In October 1995 a camp was held in which they decided to group and form Sons and Daughters for Identity and Justice, against Oblivion and Silence (H.I.J.O.S. for its spanish initials). This paper describes the first steps of the sons and daughters of missing persons that led to the creation of the H.I.J.O.S. Mar del Plata From the approach qualitative methodology that included interviews with those who were part of the group that gave rise to the organization, as well as work from journalistic sources, their first meetings are described, the collective narrative that building, their first actions, as so is the relationship with different actors. It also highlights links and resources that they had, which contributed to their grouping as a human rights organization
