Determination of Optimal Hardware Structures in Motor Drive Design

Today, the use of hybrid and electric vehicles is increasing day by day in the world and in our country in line with environmental issues, economy, etc. Electric cars that move with the power of the electric motor and hybrid type cars, which are powered by both electric and hydrocarbon fuels, are designed and offered for widespread use. In this study, the electronic card design of a Brushless Direct Current (BLDC) motor driver working in the range of 96 V to 150 V and providing high power and high efficiency for hybrid and electric vehicles is mentioned. Hardware structures that should be considered while designing are mentioned. Using the engine data designed for a light commercial vehicle selected as a test vehicle, the parameters (current, voltage, etc.) that the engine will need during the application are taken as reference, and the motor driver design has been carried out in line with these parameters. The brushless DC motor driver's switching at high power values and possible external effects will cause electromagnetic input. The motor driver created in this design is intended to be least affected by possible electromagnetic inputs, and attention has been paid to the selection of suitable electrical elements. It is aimed to provide isolation and integrate easily by using a modular structure, and designed motor driver is created in this direction.
