The article is devoted to the study of practical issues that arise in judicial practice
when appointing examinations in civil proceedings and further evading a party from
participating in such examinations. There are established characteristic features and
specific forms of actions of persons testifying to their evasion from participation in the
examination. There are also analyzed consequences of the imposition of a special
procedure sanction for persons who evade participation in the examination and the
categories of cases are identified, where such a sanction most often applied.
