Cerebral venous thrombosis (CVT) is an important cause of
stroke in young adults. CVT has a wide clinical presentation. It
may be associated with inherited and acquired risks factors.
Even in the presence of a marked risk factor, genetic
thrombotic factors should be systematically investigated.
Correcting the cause of CVT, generally the complications and
recurrence can be prevented. In this article, we report a 32-
year-old woman with cerebral venous thrombosis who was
diagnosed with iron deficiency anemia, acute sinusitis, and
MTHFR c.C677T heterozygote and PAI-1 4G/4G homozygote
mutation during postpartum period.
