This study aims to determine the effect of the addition of green betel leaf flour in the
feed as feed additives in the ration on the performance and quality of broiler duck carcass. A
hundred male Alabio male ducks of aged DOD 1 were used in the experiment, which was
conducted in a completely randomised design with five treatments (addition of green betel
leaf flour, TDSH) and five replications. Each sample contains four ducks. The treatments
were feeding the ducks with feed added by TDSH of 0, 10, 20, 30 and 40 g.kg-1 of feed. The
observed variables were the amount of feed consumption, weight gain, feed conversion ratio,
percentage of the carcass, percentage of abdominal fat and pH of meat. The results showed
that the addition of TDSH as an additional feed to the level of 40 g.kg-1 of feed significantly
affected the body weight gain of Alabio ducks, but not significantly to the percentage of
abdominal fat at five weeks of age. Addition of TDSH to the ration of 10 g.kg-1 of feed
provides the best weight gain.
