The cinema, regarded as a documentary source, is a truly and innovative tool to encapsulate and study the visual evolution of cultural heritage. This article proposes an analysis of some films which reflect this evolution within Andalusia showing different visions of several heritage categories: monuments, historic centers, ethnological heritage, industrial heritage and natural landscapes. It also proposes the recognition of films as emerging documentary sources for heritage research and conservation.
