Learning Styles and Academic Achievement of Male and Female Adolescents of District Baramulla

The present study was undertaken to study and compare the learning styles and academic achievement of male and female adolescents of District Baramulla. 100 adolescents (50 male and 50 female) were selected randomly for the present study. The investigator used D. Venkataraman’s Style of Learning and Thinking Inventory (SOLAT) for the collection of data. The collected data was analyzed by some statistical techniques. Some interesting conclusions have been drawn from the present study. Male and female adolescents differ significantly on learning styles (SOLAT). Male adolescents have better learning styles than female adolescents but the study further revealed that both the groups showed somewhat similar academic achievement.
