Published since 1955, Indian Journal of Dermatology continues to be one of the pioneer medical journals from India. It is, in fact, one of the oldest journals dedicated to this particular discipline. Since its inception, the Journal publishes information relating to skin, its ailments and the different modes of therapeutics. It also carries articles on Leprosy, STI and HIV/AIDS. This is the first Indian Dermatology Journal to be indexed in Index Medicus and the first to enter the Internet. The web version www.e-ijd.org was launched in November 2000
