The Journal of African Films & Diaspora Studies (JAFDIS) is a multi-disciplinary, peer-reviewed, international journal that provides a forum for the publication of articles from academics, business practitioners, and policymakers on African films and issues concerning Africans in the Diaspora. The journal aims to advance both theoretical and empirical research, inform policies and practices, and improve the understanding of the impact of academic research and economic and business decisions on the lives of Africans. The journal accepts papers that may have a continental, regional or country focus. It is also envisaged that occasional special issues of JAFDIS will be devoted to thematic topics or to sub-regions or countries. Articles not dealing with Africa, but whose themes could be of relevance to African scholarship, are also welcome..
