Security and Defence Quarterly (ISSN 2300-8741; eISSN 2544-994X) is an international double-blind peer-reviewed open-access journal that is dedicated to advancing knowledge and understanding of theory, research and practice in the field of security and defence on a global scale. The journal welcomes high quality theoretical and research articles in emerging interdisciplinary and traditional security and defence fields. Areas of research include, but are not limited to the following: military, political, legal, economic, environmental, cyber, social and societal, and other aspects of the security studies presented in the international dimension. The journal was established in 2013 by the National Defence University (presently War Studies University) in order to promote international dissemination of knowledge through publication of scientific research carried out at the universities affiliated to the Central European Forum on Military Education (CEFME). Nowadays, Security and Defence Quarterly is based at National Security Faculty, War Studies University, Warsaw, Poland. It is published 4 times a year, on a quarterly schedule. Special issues are published separately. Security and Defence Quarterly aims to publish one special issue per year. The journal is indexed in Index Copernicus International, POL-INDEX, BazTech, Baz Hum, CEJSH, DOAJ, ERIH+, CeON Repository (Repository of Centre for Open Science, an open-access repository for research output of Polish scholars. Each paper published in Security and Defence Quarterly is assigned a DOI® number, which appears beneath the author's affiliation in the published paper. We invite the submission of research papers, theoretical articles, reviews, case studies, and reports that are related to security and defence issues. The journal provides a platform for presenting the outcomes of high quality, original research; therefore, it significantly contributes to Security Studies as a scholarly discipline and its establishment among other social sciences. Open access All articles are Open Access, which means they are freely available to the reader. Security and Defence Quarterly is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License.
