The FRONTEIRAS Periodical: JOURNAL OF SOCIAL, TECHNOLOGICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE is a biannual publication with arbitration by peers, from the Programa de Pós-graduação em Sociedade, Tecnologia e Meio Ambiente do Centro Universitário de Anápolis (PPSTMA / UniEVANGÉLICA - Master in Environmental Science). Fronteiras is a multidisciplinary journal with open access, driven by the belief that all types of knowledge must be globally available. The journal involves discussions that revolve around four main themes: Society, Technology, Environment and Health; this journal was created in 2012 in an electronic format, linked to IBICT SEER (Electronic System for Journal Publishing), and since then has sought to be a science communication tool, not just regionally, but with works of a national and international level. Although a relatively new journal, it has become a prestigious publication and is internationally recognized in the multidisciplinary field, having received major indexes of scientific basis such as LATINDEX (Scientific Journals of Latin America, Caribbean, Spain and Portugal), Sumarios.org (Summary of Brazilian Magazines), REDIB (Red Iberoamericana de Innovación y Scientific Conocimiento), ABEC (Brazilian Association of Scientific Editors) and CAPES a portal for periodicals. Since the start of December 2015 the periodical was accepted to be integrated into the major database known as SCOPUS / ELSEVIER. Scopus is one of the largest data bases of scientific journals and has a comprehensive view of research production in the fields of science, technology, medicine, social sciences and arts and humanities. It also offers smart tools to track, analyze and visualize research, with a strict quality control selection within its periodical data base. According to SCOPUS, despite FRONTEIRAS having most of its works published in Portuguese, the value of its publications were well recognized, along with its judicious submission system, publication ethics and its potential as a privileged vehicle of information in the main areas of the journal that are Society, Technology, Environment and Health. SCOPUS also offers to assist in the dissemination and internationalization of the journal, offering support where needed, which favors the amount of access and citations used from the journal as well as increases the impact factor within the scientific community.
