The Territorium was presented in 1994 as the first Portuguese journal specialized in the field of Physical Geography applied to the Spatial Planning and Natural Hazards Management.
The multidisciplinary of the subjects discussed by the authors from different areas of education was early a bet to the scientific council of the journal. In 2004, Territorium passed ownership for the newly formed RISCOS.
The Territorium, is a scientific journal, unique in its kind in Portugal and with a more than a dozen years of existence, has a diverse target audience.
Risk awareness, perception of his dangers and crisis management are key assumptions for not only a serious prevention but also to minimize his effects of the full manifestation of the risks, catastrophes, objectives for which Territorium – as a reference journal – will remain committed to working and promotion.
