Philologia is the legal heir of the journals:Moldovan Language and Literature (1958-1989) and The Journal of Linguistics and Literary Science (1990-2009).
The journal Philologia is a scientific research publication aimed at valuing and promoting Romanian linguistic and literary-folklore heritage, comprising several sections in which materials are presented according to research areas. It is an open access publication, being an alternative in capitalizing and promoting scientific results in the field of philology.
By the Decision of the Supreme Council for Science and Technological Development of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova and of the National Council for Accreditation and Attestation no. 93 of July 18, 2017, “Regarding the approval of the results of the evaluation and classification of scientific journals”, Philologia journal is recognized as a scientific publication, category “B”.
Journal circulation – 150 copies.
The frequency of the journal’s publication is six issues per year, published in double issues.
Publication language – Romanian language. The journal is open for publications in English and French.
