Scientific and theoretical journal of the Potebnia Institute of Linguistics of NAS of Ukraine and Ukrainian Lingua-Information Fund of NAS of Ukraine. Founded in 1967. It is published 6 times a year.
The publications in journal highlight the problems of general, Slavic, Germanic, Romance, Baltic, Turkic and Finno-Ugric linguistics. Due attention is paid to Ukrainian language studios, especially in the aspect of its relations with other languages. The journal regularly analyzes the linguistic situation in Ukraine and its regions. Its pages regularly contain materials of scientific conferences, "round tables", discussions on topical issues of linguistics, and anniversary events. Reports of Ukrainian linguists at international Slavist congresses are published in special issues.
