It has been published by Institute of Geography, Faculty of Geography, University of Tehran, since 2013.
Geographical Urban Planning Research (GUPR) is a multidisciplinary peer reviewed journal that publishes original full‐length research articles in the broad fields of urban research.
The aim of the journal is to provide a scientific medium for scientists and academicians all over the world to contribute, promote, share, and discuss over various new issues and developments in different areas of urban planning and research. So, GUPR covers: urban sustainable development; gentrification and housing; homelessness and welfare services; urban management; development and planning problems; urban regeneration; neighborhood conservation; migration; urban politics; urban theory; urban governance; smart cities; urban smart growth; urban spatial analysis; infrastructure; livability and quality of life; greening; and all related subjects to urban geography.
