Pasado Abierto is a biannual journal edited by the Center for Historical Studies of the Faculty of Humanities of the Universidad Nacional de Mar del Plata (Argentina). Its main purpose is the publication of unpublished and original scientific articles in Spanish, Portuguese, French and English. The content focuses especially on History, although contributions from other Social and Human Sciences are accepted. The Journal includes four sections. Dossiers and Articles bring together works that constitute a contribution to the knowledge of various national and international political, social, cultural and economic contexts (in the Dossiers, around a specific problem). Bibliographic Notes and the Historian's Workshop publish short reviews on books and historiographic balances and academic and institutional reflections, in order to stimulate debate on the activities of updating, dissemination and dissemination of science. Pasado Abierto ensures quality and rigorous conditions through internal and external arbitration. The first evaluation is from the Editorial Committee, which defines the relevance of the submitted work considering the rules and editorial policy. In case of approval, the second one is carried out anonymously, "double blind" by prestigious academic peers outside the author's home university, investigation group or project. Arbitration and publication are free.
